Nestled at the base of the Santa Cruz Mountains, Soquel offers old school charm with a walkable downtown featuring antique shops, restaurants and California-rustic feel.
 
Many residents take advantage of the almost 300 days a year of sunshine. An easy bike ride to the beach or hop in the car and head up Main Street to go hiking at the Land of Medicine Buddha. The trails have 2.5 and 7 mile loops, water features and Buddhist statues. Mountain bikers flock to Soquel’s Demonstration Forest, where challenging trails offer the ultimate challenge.
 
On the way back into town you can stop by one of the county’s favorite beer gardens Beer Thirty Bottle Shop & Pour House, or Bargetto Winery tasting room. Located next to Bates Creek, Bargetto Winery offers up two different tasting flights or wines by the glass that you can enjoy on their creekside patio.
